A Wedding Videographer’s Day at Poulaphouca House & Falls, Ireland.

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of filming an incredible wedding for a wedding client at Poulaphouca House & Falls. It' was a day full of authenticity & genuine love captured as always, but if your looking for insight on what it’s like to have your wedding there, here’s a videographers perspective:

The overall feeling I got from the staff, to the ceremony & different filming spots was positive wholesome energy at it’s core. It was simply down to earth the whole day. The day began for the bride in the bridal tiny home suit surrounded by trees & a big open view of the rolling Wicklow hills. Although the space is cosy, it was perfect for filming candid moments & little bits of connection between loved ones ahead of the big day to come.

The ceremony took place in the weather sheltered outside ceremony area which I hadn’t filmed before! There we’re definitely one or two moments where the wind wanted to join in on the ceremony so one thing to keep in mind is to definitely have everything firmly placed on the ceremony table ahead of walking down the aisle! We managed, as all Irish people do nonetheless.

One of my favourite spots in the venue was just across the way from the bar area. The drawing room I suppose one could call it was just magnificent. Great colours & perfect location for doing first looks with Dad or other loved ones.

The evening Barn area for dinner & conducting speeches was simply gorgeous - particularly because of the view that overlooks the river running alongside the venue. It was wholesome as could be, & perfect little enclave sits just at the side door of the barn area which was really nice for the couples shoot before the sun left us.

The evening party transitioned back into the mainhouse which facilitated the band & more filming too. It was one of the most straightforward & easy-going filming days I’ve had to date.
