A Wedding at Langtons Hotel, Kilkenny (A Videographer’s Perspective).

This article provides insight on what you can expect of Langton’s Hotel, Kilkenny - should you decide to have your wedding reception there. What a filming day it was at Langton’s Hotel. From a videographers perspective it was one of the most down to earth & attentive venues that also looks incredible. It checked all the various bells & whistles any couple should want from a venue in my opinion. Below is some of the main highlights of the venue:

1. Firstly, The attentiveness of the staff to the bride & groom was exceptional. As well, how the staff treated both the guests & the wedding suppliers too was fantastic. This is huge on a wedding day in my professional opinion. It’s not just about how nice a venue looks on video, but how the venue makes you feel as this is what allows you to be your best self particularly when you are being documented for the wedding films & photos. Langton’s delivered here.

2. Furthermore, the physical design & lay out of Langton’s speaks for itself. The wedding party was hosted mostly toward the back of Langton’s, beside the dinner & evening party hall (which might I add, had a disco ball which I personally think is amazing for when the music starts!). It was nice to have distinction between the wedding party area but also have the option to go down to the front of the pub if you needed more space to chat or get service. The skylights with hanging plants were a feature I thought that was simply lovely. It felt perfect to have natural sunlight coming into the wedding party area while still feeling like you we’re in a warm welcome pub. The banquet space & stage space for the band, toward the evening dinner & party, was exceptional. There was ample room for filming & capturing candid moments. As well, the tables & chairs we’re relocated with efficiency so the dancing couple begin effortlessly too, a big green light in my opinion.

3. Finally, because of the small walled garden out the back, getting family photos done & dusted was an ease. It was completed in a timely manner without being to far from your guests for too long.

Those we’re the main things I felt this venue offered, it was an incredible filming day there & I can’t wait to be back in Kilkenny again!
